What We are Looking For

We are looking for a passionate individual with solid visual skills and understanding of user-centered design to join us in our agile working environment. You can help us continue to shape the future of safety technology.

You would work, within a multi-disciplinary team, on existing projects that aim to improve workplace safety and incident awareness for industrial settings.

In addition, you would join our growing UX Design Department, which focuses on standardizing and improving user experiences across our products and developing design best practices within Safety io.

The Role

• Design cloud-based web applications with your knowledge of UX and UI Design.
• Incorporate user research to iterate on product solutions.
• Be part of the decision making and agile process working with internal and external teams.
• Collaborate with PO/PM to define product requirements.
• Translate customer insights into concepts, personas, user journeys, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, visual design comps and prototypes.
• Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Communicate the product’s vision and articulate design decisions and trade-offs both verbally and visually.
• Partner with engineers in your team to ensure designs are properly implemented.
• Incorporate best practices and design thinking.
• Define direction and improve visual language for our products.
• Evolve the existing Design System to match future requirements and collaborate with the rest of the designers to improve it.
• Analyze customer responses and data to determine high traffic in the different screens and why some perform better than others.
• Design the aesthetics to be implemented within the products following the Design System.
• Present your design results and suggestions to the business and development teams.

What you bring

• BA or MA in design or related fields, or complementary studies with work experience in UX design.
• 2-3 years of professional experience as a UX/UI designer.
• An updated portfolio that showcases your work, including digital work with a strong UX focus.
• Previous experience working independently or semi-independently with teams
• Previous experience working with design systems.
• Basic understanding of web accessibility guidelines.
• Proficiency using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Team player.
• Self-motivated & self-reliant – able to learn and stay productive remotely.
• Personal time management
• Fluent in English
• Available for occasional international travel.
