Our suite of applications are used and loved by thousands and our code saves lives!

We are an international company parented by MSA with offices in Berlin, Germany; Johannesburg, South Africa; and Cranberry, USA. Our Berlin team spreads over 20 nationalities!

What we are looking for

We are looking for a motivated, knowledgeable individual wishing to gain hands-on experience in Software Development focusing on Web and Cloud software systems. You are currently studying computer science/engineering, programming, software or any other related fields or have completed some form of training, for example a Bootcamp.

You would assist in the development of our new corporate website then move into one of our product teams to help develop new or extend existing features on our life saving cloud based applications.

You can help us continue to shape the future of safety technology; your code could save lives!

Our Techstack

Our techstack consists of various parts using Python, Postgres, NodeJS (JavaScript/ECMAScript), Angular (Typescript), CSS, HTML and leverages AWS utilizing managed services such as Lambdas, IoT and more. We have a strong focus on testing and automation. We select what is best for the task and are always looking to improve and take advantage of the latest technology and methodologies. We wish to help you begin your journey on a career in software development and give you experience of some of the tools used in our techstack. We don’t expect you to use or learn all aspects of our techstack!

What you bring

• Knowledge in JavaScript programming and HTML/CSS development
• Knowledge or experience in frontend frameworks, such as Vue, React or Angular (beneficial but not mandatory. We do use Angular internally)
• Commitment to quality, an eye for detail and being able to write clean and iterative code whilst applying best practices
• Enthusiasm to learn and improve by staying up to date on the latest developments and trends in JavaScript, and front-end engineering
• Fluency in English (our office language is English)
• You are currently enrolled at a German university or have comparable education/experience
