We’re an international company with offices in Germany, the USA, and South Africa. As a member of the Safety io team, your work will influence live monitoring of workforces in hazardous areas, fleet management for market-leading MSA safety products, on-scene monitoring for the global fire service, and other compelling projects.

What you will do

  • Support and enhance MSA’s Cyber Security Program with a strong focus on IoT SaaS architecture, cloud security architecture, and SIEM architecture
  • Be responsible for a wide range of cross-functional areas of cybersecurity services for MSA’s global strategy
  • Execute enterprise vulnerability scanning activities, reporting outstanding vulnerabilities and remediation efforts to executive management
  • Research, design, and advocate new technologies, infrastructure, and security products that will support business requirements
  • Perform daily monitoring and review of security events

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s (ideally Master’s) degree in Computer Science or other relevant subject
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of IoT cloud security architecture and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • troubleshoot and resolve complex networking and operating system security issues
    • work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
    • communicate professionally and effectively in written and oral format
    • analyze and solve technical problems
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Knowledge of directory services and various authentication methods
  • Experience in:
    • vulnerability management
    • developing and implementing security policies
    • configuring proactive alert notifications and monitoring techniques
    • utilizing threat intelligence sources
    • performing network, host forensic, malware, static and dynamic analysis of captured files, in order to find root cause of cybersecurity events
    • MacOS/iOS and related security controls, AWS and related security controls
    • designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructures and operations using automation tools (e.g. Ansible), with a focus on automated security practices (e.g. integrating penetration testing into automated processes)
    • developing queries, reports, and dashboards for SIEM
  • Ability to review code, particularly JavaScript
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodology
